There is a not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, Mine!
– Abraham Kuyper
The spiritual formation of our students is at the core of the mission of East Hill Christian School. We believe that spiritual education is essential to the task of Christian Education. An education that neglects to address a student’s spiritual development is incomplete. East Hill students learn about God not just in chapels and Bible classes. Christ is woven throughout all programs, from history to science and art to basketball. We desire to awaken students’ imaginations as learners and empower them to live as disciples of Christ. Our faculty is passionate about developing the minds and character of every East Hill student.
Chapel
Wednesdays are everyone’s favorite day at East Hill because it is Chapel Day. Students gather weekly for a dedicated time of worship through music and teaching. Students play an active part in our weekly chapel service with student leaders doing the welcome, prayer, and Scripture reading and Eagle Ambassadors hosting our campus guests. The goal of the chapel is to awaken the moral, intellectual, and vocational imagination of what it means to follow Jesus. Therefore, our chapel speakers are pastors, industry leaders, professors, artists, and many others who teach the students that the gospel transforms everything, breaking down the walls of the secular and the sacred. All of life is meant to be lived in worship.
Bible Classes & Integrated Curriculum
East Hill is proud of its Christian heritage and desires to take seriously the commitment to disciple the next generation. We believe our faith informs all of our learning. We also believe God has revealed Himself through both His Word and His world. Because of this commitment, every grade has a Bible class. Middle School and High School students follow a curriculum intended to provide a solid biblical and theological foundation.
Opportunities to Serve
We believe the gospel transforms how we see and serve others. From our Senior Service Day to our Very Merry Bob Ross Christmas to food collections for the hungry, we provide opportunities for students to exercise their talents in service to others. East Hill students learn the joy of serving and that no one is too young to share God’s love with others.
